Dr. Ann Payne-Johnson is board certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She practices at USA Health Family Medicine Center. Conditions treated include Allergies, Anxiety, Chronic Disease, Depression, Diabetes, Mental Health, Obesity and Pregnancy. Dr. Payne-Johnson earned a medical degree from the Spartan Health Sciences University in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia. She completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Tennessee in Jackson, Tenn. She is double board certified in family medicine and obesity medicine.

David Elkin, Ph.D., ABPP, is the Executive Director of the Center for Advancement of Youth. He is a licensed clinical psychologist focused on mood and behavioral disorders in children, adolescents, and youth. He received his B.A. in Philosophy and History from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis. Dr. Elkin is currently working on a behavioral health system utilizing technology and telehealth to deliver evidence-based, accessible psychological care to all the children of Mississippi.

Cyber Security for Telemedicine 

A retired Special Agent with the FBI, David Furman is Director, Information Security, Risk & Compliance at University of South Alabama. He is responsible for protecting the integrity of student, faculty and staff information, as well as security on all defense related research projects. David worked in the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division investigating foreign intelligence services attempting to illicitly acquire US political, military and economic secrets, including medical research. Prior to his service with the FBI, David worked as an attorney in private practice in Florence, AL.

As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), he engages on cybersecurity governance and programs, data privacy investigations, HIPAA /HITECH, risk management, and compliance matters.

Boyd is an experienced healthcare and software leader focused on improving outcomes through design and technology. A Silicon Valley veteran, he held executive positions with Intuit and Apple before founding the Autism Telehealth Program at the non-profit Scott Center for Autism Treatment at the Florida Institute of Technology. With SETRC, he is focused on improving access for underserved populations, pediatric telehealth, and systems interoperability.
